Sociologist Tina
I have studied and practiced in many systems of human understanding and healing in great-depth, including Aaron Beck's and David Burns' Cognitive Therapy, Harville Hendix' Imago Relationship Therapy, Carol Pearson's Archetypal Analysis, John Gottman's Marital Therapy, Daniel Matt's perspective on Jewish Mysticism, Frances Fox Piven's Sociology and Politics of Social Movements, Peter Berger's Sociology of Knowledge through the Social Construction of Reality, Marshal Rosenberg's Non-Violent Communication, and Eugene Gendlin's Focusing, among numerous others.
My Master's degree is in Sociology from the University of California, where I specialized in Political Sociology and Social Movements. My bachelor's degree (B.S.W.) is from Temple University (in Philadelphia, where I grew up). I graduated from there as a Presidential Scholar from the Honors Program Magna Cum Laude.
I am constantly expanding my knowledge and understanding of being, living, and relationships. I recently became Certified as a Family Life Educator.
Disclaimer: Although I have studied and practiced many therapeutic modalities in great depth, I am an educator, sociological, spiritual, and philosophical counselor, and social scientist, not a clinician.
